– Currently, there are 6 matches played in the Champions League group stage, but starting from next season, each team will play eight different teams.

– Currently, 16 teams (1st and 2nd) qualify from each group, but starting from next season, 24 teams will qualify. Teams finishing 1-8 in the table will automatically enter the round of 16, teams finishing 9-24 will play playoffs, and teams finishing 25th – 36th will be eliminated from the competition.

How teams will be selected to play each other in the group stage:

To determine which teams will play each other, the four teams will be ranked in four seeding pots. Each team will play two opponents from each pot, with one match against a team from each pot at home and the other away.
